The Art of Forests
Welcome to the home of land stewards
The Art of Forests (AOF) is a global community of practice, made up of land stewarding individuals and organisations, all dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural environment using nature-based solutions — reforestation, afforestation, ecosystem restoration and conservation.
By responding to the emergent needs of community members, facilitating collective learning and knowledge sharing, the AOF nurtures true collaboration in action so that both people and planet can thrive.

“The Art of Forests has been a fantastic forum for Taking Root to share learnings and build meaningful relationships with other industry actors, enhancing the quality and impact of forest restoration projects around the world.”

“The Art of Forest has been exactly what is needed amongst those of us who are committed to this difficult battle of regenerating the nature that we are so rapidly losing. The journey in planting trees is a difficult and long one, with very little support. AoF is that support network with peers who know the exact struggles and hardships we are facing and can be both a source of wisdom or a shoulder to lean on, whichever you may need. This group represents some of the most ambitious people working in this space who truly believe that together we can transform lives and landscapes for good. Like a rainstorm in a drought, the Art of Forests has been a source of much needed life to ensure we can keep on this joint journey together.”

“Sharing best practices, exploring operational synergies, keeping on learning on specific FLR subjects, and joining forces with our peer practitioners is the obvious thing to do for more impact. We are thrilled to be able to do so through the Art of Forest Alliance.”
